about.
As a third year student at Carleton University's Azrieli School of Architecture and Urbanism, my passion for design is continually developing and growing. I have also been able to draw practical knowledge from my previous work experiences in a design and construction environment.
As an architectural intern at a small design firm I was immersed in the design process and took an active role in several residential projects where I participated in client meetings, committee of adjustment meetings, heritage board meetings, and the preparation of permit and construction drawings.
My experience as a general labourer for a small construction company, allowed me to observe and learn by experience, the basics of construction from demolition to completion. As a retired athlete I am experienced working as a part of a team as well as independently.
My academic career has taught me to design with creativity while maintaining a critical eye for design. My high level of skill using computer programs such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Revit and many others, as well as my experience working by hand: building architectural models, hand drafting, and rendering have given me a devotion to and attention to detail.
